"To imagine that in 1995, Nvidia was nearly out of business, that we had chosen exactly the wrong technology, and that we will be here today, the largest company in the world, is unimaginable.” :: Jensen Huang, Nvidia CEO :: Tokyo, Japan / July 15, 2026 In Huang's own words, after Nvidia failed to develop the game chip Sega had originally ordered, Sega still invested $5 million in the company, preventing it from going bankrupt. Huang is later scheduled to attend an event on Thursday (July 16) organised by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
