Tesla Widens Robotaxi Rollout Ahead of Q2 Results Renato Neves, CFA Tue, July 21, 2026 at 11:43 AM EDT 1 min read TSLA This article first appeared on GuruFocus . Tesla ( NASDAQ:TSLA ) is expanding its robotaxi service to Orlando and Tampa, a day before the company reports second-quarter results. The service launched in Austin in June of last year and has since reached Dallas, Houston and Miami, with supervised testing also underway in California's San Francisco Bay Area. Tesla shares were up 1.72% intraday. Autonomous ride-hailing is central to how the market values Tesla, particularly as CEO Elon Musk pushes the company toward AI, self-driving and humanoid robots. Tesla has missed several of its own expansion targets, and Musk has said the constraint is deliberate: safety testing, he has argued, governs the pace rather than technology or demand. Tesla reports second-quarter results on Wednesday, July 22, with Wall Street expecting EPS of $0.53 on $26.42 billion.
