Bank of America ( NYSE:BAC ) fell 1.70% in premarket after the bank reported Q2 2026 diluted EPS of $1.21, up 34% year-on-year, beating the Wall Street consensus of $1.10. Revenue of $31.6 billion, up 15%, also beat the Wall Street estimate of $30.2 billion. Net income rose 27% to $9.1 billion. Net interest income grew 9% to $16.0 billion, and the efficiency ratio improved 359 basis points to 59%, delivering 6.6% operating leverage. Every segment posted double-digit net income growth. The CET1 ratio stood at 11.2%, and the net charge-off ratio improved 8 basis points year-on-year to 0.47%. CEO Brian Moynihan said every business segment delivered strong returns on equity against a healthy economic backdrop, with commercial borrowing picking up and near-term pipelines remaining strong.
