Alcoa approves development of Australia gallium project with U.S., Japan, Australia backing

Alcoa ( AA ) said post-market Tuesday it reached a final investment decision to build a gallium production plant at its Wagerup alumina refinery in Western Australia, with backing from the governments of Australia, Japan and the U.S.
